Charlie Sheen Writes an Open Letter to Obama…about 9/11 Conspiracies

Here’s a weird example of why we shouldn’t be looking to celebrities as a source of information…

Charlie Sheen has posted an open letter to President Obama on conspiracy theorist Alex Jones‘s website.

Well, it’s more of a transcript of an interview Sheen did with the president…an interview that happened in Sheen’s head…yes, Charlie Sheen, the Two and a Half Men actor, has written a fictional account of himself telling the President the “truth” about what happened on September 11th.

It’s long, but worth reading simply for the wacky entertainment value of Charlie Sheen’s fantasy world. My favourite part was the end (PBO = the President, CS = Sheen):

(The Senior aide appears again beside the President whispering in his ear. He then quickly moves off).

PBO – Well Charlie I can’t say this hasn’t been interesting. As I said earlier you’ve showed up today focused and organized.  Regardless how I feel about the material you’ve presented, I must commend your dedication and zeal. However, our time here is up.

(the President rises from his chair , I do the same).

CS – Mr. President! One more second!

(The President starts towards the door – I follow him quickly step for step).

CS – Mr. President, I implore you based on the evidence you now possess, to use your Executive Power. Prove to us all Sir, that you do, in fact, care. Create a truly comprehensive and open Congressional investigation of 9/11 and its aftermath. The families deserve the truth, the American people and the rest of the free world deserve the truth. Mr. President –

(He pauses. We shake hands).

CS – Make sure you’re on the right side of history.

(The President breaks the handshake).

PBO – I am on the right side of history. Thank you Charlie, my staff and I will be in touch.

(I watch as he strides gracefully out of the room, the truth I provided him held firmly by his side; in the hand of providence.)

Charlie Sheen writing his masterpiece

You know, I just wish actors would stick to acting. He has a successful show, why does he have to bring the crazy???

9/11 was not a home-grown conspiracy. I recently stumbled upon this YouTube channel, which is debunking the 9/11 conspiracy theorists’ claims one by one. It’s fairly easy to see that the conspiracy theorists are pretty much wrong about everything.

It’s not a coincidence that this letter was put out only a few days before the 8th anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks. It’s despicable that these conspiracy kooks are using the anniversary to draw attention to themselves. Instead we should be remembering the victims and the brave heroes that died that day.

“It’s fairly easy to see that the conspiracy theorists are pretty much wrong about everything.”

Is it? Again, I’ve looked at both sides of this since…well, 2002 and researched it in depth. The weight of evidence that something more than just planes toppling three buildings, one of which wasn’t hit by anything but debris, causing a fire that was…well, nothing more than spotfires, leans heavily in favour of the non-coincidence theorists.

I’d give you plenty of scientific viewpoints from eminent physicists, architects, pilots, demolitions experts, and so on but I know you wouldn’t look into it, instead preferring to toe the government line by watching one youtube video or reading the bilious and heavily edited “911 commission” reports.

Alex Jones and Charlie Sheen may be tossbags (Alex Jones especially) but that doesn’t mean the evidence they’re suggesting people look into is erroneous.

I should probably subscribe to this blog. Seems we agree on nothing. And I like that. Also, I won’t debate anyone who comments after me as I’ve done this far too many times before and it’s an exercise in futility.

Ha! Charlie Sheen, stroking his ego – hilarious.

Why do actors and celebrities, earn a bit of cash get their faces in the news papers, and then think they have something to say about world affairs.

Because they get more publicity, and hence more revenue from their next film, book or play!

As for 9/11 – I think a lot of the editing is to cover up some stuff. Like mismanagement of the fire department, air-traffic control may be even the airforce. I think on that day there were several systematic failures in these government departments – call it negligence if you like. But I don’t think it was intentional to start a war – the twin towers were not demolished, two planes crashed into them – they did what they were supposed to do – they stood up with enough time to get the majority of people out of the buildings – pretty good engineering to take the weight of a plane for any amount of time.

The fire department did what the public expected them to do, but if they knew the time scales involved (like they do now) they would more than likely adopt a different strategy to taking the evacuation.

Same with the airforce, the delays caused, were a result of surprise – I saw a woman once who’s hair was on fire – I told her four times, that her hair was on fire before she even lifted her hand to check… she just didn’t believe me – even though, she had just lit a ciggy… this is the same principle… the planes are heading straight for the twin towers – guys, do you think there is a problem? Should we shoot them down? This all takes time to compute… especially if it has not happened before.

“Why do actors and celebrities, earn a bit of cash get their faces in the news papers, and then think they have something to say about world affairs.”

Umm.. Actors and entertainers are not capable of opinion? Not capable of thinking on their own and presenting a case for, or against any issue?

Hmmmm, Tell that to some Old guy, passed away now, They used to call him PRESIDENT, oh yeah Ronald Reagan a former ACTOR, As president beloved more than most recent Political figures around the world.

Or how about Jesse Ventura? Former Wrestler. LMAO – I find wrestling to be akin to a real life cartoon BUT I was a resident of Minesota when he was Governer, I’d love to see you debate him, face to face on his right OR ability to present facts to people. He was an ass kicking politician because he “wasn’t” a politician!! The only one’s with deragatory words about him were……Politicians!

I could cite more examples such as Sony Bono, Arnold S. (not gonna try to spell his last name) etc. But my point is made!!

Charlie Sheen has demonstrated he has the courage to explore “all” facts, unlike the sheeple that bemoan him. Charlie Sheen has shown the courage to take an unpopular view and try to get free thinking individuals to “LOOK” at undeniable evidence.

And Then, there are the main stream sheeple that whine and complain for the very things bringing America to it’s knees. Begging Government for MORE control and intrusion on individual freedom and civil liberties.

Those few of us, with our eye’s open have been forewarning of the crisis facing America and the end result. Just wait – some day you will wake up in a Facist environment with no ability to resist the controls you yourself begged for, wondering….How did this happen?

The few of us that TRIED to tell you, before it was too late will be long gone, dead, missing and imprisoned as terrorists against the homeland.

I suggest you all review German history concerning the Tactics used by Hitler to come to power and manipulate the German people – the parallels are enough to make one shiver.

  4. 4 misunderstoodranter September 10, 2009 at 2:10 pm

Yeah yeah – I have see Zeitgeist the movie too, and have read a lot of these conspiracy theories. I don’t have an objection to Charlie Sheen having an opinion – I just don’t like the way he presents it – like he is some sort of advisor to the president – hence the stroking his ego comment.

In addition, how far do you think you would get in publishing your views on the matter in main stream commercial press… I doubt you would get the coverage he did… for what being actor and lookin pretty?

By the way I am not American, and as such I find the politics of the USA a little strange anyway – kind of childish. Except recently your new man BO – seems to have some common sense – which is nice to see for a change.

As for Arnie being a politician and Regan and the such like – well, yeah OK they are great – but actually, I would respect a politician, that has gained ground by just being a normal person first – rather than just being rich and famous. You do realise you don’t have to be rich to be smart… and many of these politicians get training and advice from smart people. The smartest thing in politics is to listen (i.e. not put people down).

In the UK – where I live, we have politicians too ;o) and guess what, many of them are privileged people – best schools, best universities, private health care, private transport – lots of money. What I want out of the UK’s next election is a real person to stand – someone that has used public transport (which is wank in the UK), the health system (which is amazing – but needs government to back off and let the doctors run it) and the state schools (which are good – but need more investment) – someone who has really struggled to get ahead and knows what it is like to be up against the elite.

You are also right about the way the world sees America, and many people in the UK were against the War in Iraq – which was probably not the most sensible thing to have started… but hey we are where we are.

That said, I think Afghanistan needs attention – it needs the world (not just the UK and USA) to sort it out – and I think our great nations are doing some good there – I just wish there was more commitment from the Russians and the Chinese super powers.

America’s gun ho approach facilitated by GWB has really knackered your image. But I can say that OB appointment has gone down well.

But the twin towers being a conspiracy – I do not buy into that, I watched the interviews with one of the guys that built the towers – he was in no doubt that they would have collapsed under that stress. I also watched the interviews with the jet engineers (yeap that’s right these people have degrees in science – rather than bullshit) and they said too that it was possible that the fires caused by the jet fuel can melt metal.

Conspiracy theory people, love a drama – they love to make links to events that didn’t happen or misinterpret the facts. Take the moon landing is faked bullshit story that has been doing the internet circuit – what a load of bollocks that one is.

So why do they attempt these theories, well to sell stories and write books and get publicity – making bullshit up is actually a good way of earning some money you know (that’s why the Church does it) – it is good to be sceptical, even of conspiracies.

Just remember, that to get a degree in architecture to build a tower of the magnitude of the twin towers takes a lot of effort and brains. Same with building aircraft – it takes hard work talent and more than a basic understanding of science and engineering, it also requires the input from more than one person – many of the people that build these conspiracy theories have a degree in ‘media studies’ or journalism or worse – no degree at all, and have just learnt to stitch samples together on a computer – this takes no effort, and just one person working on his own can achieve this… I know which people I believe regarding the twin towers – and it is the teams that built them – not the wanker with too much time on his hands looking up crap on google and splicing it together to say what ever he wants to say.

In addition, I have worked during my career for large companies, and the government – and I can tell you that there are not conspiracies of this nature, everything gets leaked eventually, and the people that work in such organisations – well they are like you and me – they are not like Dr ‘Evil’ stroking a cat and plotting to take over the world – they clock out and drive home to their wife and kids.

However, I will agree that managers and executives will try and cover up a management or financial irregularity (like Enron) to save their face or their job – and I think that is the extent of the twin towers issue – people fucked up, they didn’t report things in time – or they were not sure what to do.

Unless of course you are telling me you would have known exactly what to do in such a situation – which if you are is a pretty strong insult to all those brave fire fighters who faced that danger knowing that there was very high chance they would die…. remember hindsight is luxury.

  5. 5 porno4pyrrho September 10, 2009 at 2:35 pm

    lol@citing zeitgeist.

“and I can tell you that there are not conspiracies of this nature, everything gets leaked eventually”

Interesting. How can you KNOW this? You can only know that those conspiracies that WERE leaked were leaked. Otherwise you’d most likely not know a thing about them.

Another interesting thing is that you stated the buildings did exactly what they were intended to do. They were built to crumple (or pancake as some say) through the path of GREATEST resistance? That really is a technological feat of some mastery, I must say.

Nice appeal to emotion (fallacy) in your last statement, too.

I’d like to continue but right now I have to go and do things. I’ll return and see if I can dissect your argument point by point later on.

I’ll finish with a quote from RAW: “Everybody who has ever worked for a corporation knows that corporations conspire all the time. Politicians conspire all the time, pot-dealers conspire not to get caught by the narcs, the world is full of conspiracies. Conspiracy is natural primate behavior.”

  6. 6 porno4pyrrho September 10, 2009 at 2:52 pm

Just three sites made by “wanker[s] with too much time on his hands looking up crap on google.”

Check those out if you’re a true skeptic/sceptic. Did you use google yourself to find these statements made by the architects of the towers, I wonder. I’d be interested to see or read this interview or statement you’ve mentioned, by the way. Link a brutha up.

  7. 7 porno4pyrrho September 10, 2009 at 2:54 pm

Just some wankers splicing crap together from google, I guess. Right?

  8. 8 porno4pyrrho September 10, 2009 at 3:06 pm

Why can I not post links to three sites full to the brim with experts in three different areas of Sept 11? Pilots, physicists and architects/engineers?

  9. 9 porno4pyrrho September 10, 2009 at 3:07 pm

Okay, maybe there’s some bizarre rule I was unaware of.
    Google (or BING, because I don’t want to be known as a wanker:P) “AE911truth” “pilotsfor911truth” “physics911”

“Another interesting thing is that you stated the buildings did exactly what they were intended to do. They were built to crumple (or pancake as some say) through the path of GREATEST resistance? That really is a technological feat of some mastery, I must say.”

Actually, I was referring to way that they stayed up for quite a while – after being hit by an object weighting 179 metric tonnes travelling at hundreds of miles per hour (like throwing 179 very large cars at it using a very large catapult) and setting them alight – so yeah – I would say they stood up pretty well considering – especially when you consider they were basically 1960s/ 70 technology.

I tell you what you build something that can take that sort of punishment – you seem to like a challenge and know everything so it should be easy.

“I’d like to continue but right now I have to go and do things. I’ll return and see if I can dissect your argument point by point later on” – oh please grow up!

As for conspiracies, yeah companies plot to take over other companies, I know I have helped them do it – I have sat in rooms and told them how to do it, in the most cost effective way, so that they maximise their share price and gain a competitive advantage – it is quite hard to do.

And doubtless there is fraud – or companies plotting to minimise the cost of paying out compensation for a health and safety scandal, but what you are suggesting would take a massive amount of commitment and planning.

You would literally have to make people disappear – do you have any idea how hard that would be? Think about that for a minute? Making one person disappear is hard enough – making a team of people disappear is by orders of magnitude harder. OK the Russians did it, but they had death camps, and didn’t really give a shit about who was watching – your government can’t even make the terrorists that they have caught in war disappear – can you imagine what would happen if they did – or they got found out.

Same with the moon landings – can you imagine what would happen if they were faked and it got found out – some things are just not worth conspiring to do… because the risk of getting caught (even if you are the dreaded government are too high).

Life is not Hollywood – Jack Bauer doesn’t actually exist you know that don’t you… you can actually tell the difference between reality and fantasy?

  12. 12 misunderstoodranter September 10, 2009 at 3:50 pm

    Have you read this shit…

Paramedics, people that build cars – are now experts in structures like the twin towers. Get a grip.

People are looking for answers, because they are hurt and shocked – looking for someone to blame…. that is natural.

Also people love conspiracies… I love them to – they are highly entertaining.

There may be some truth in a cover up – but it will be management related some fuck up – perhaps your spies knew it was going to happen, but forgot to send the email to someone, because they were busy talking to their girlfriend on the government phone instead of working.

    Keep it real.

  13. 13 linzeebinzee September 10, 2009 at 3:55 pm

I don’t have much time so I just want to throw in a quick comment here…

9/11 conspiracy theorists are so desperate to prove that there was a homegrown conspiracy that they’re ignoring the fact that there was a conspiracy: Al Quaeda conspired to attack the US, and succeeded.

Okham’s razor, learn to use it.

  14. 14 linzeebinzee September 10, 2009 at 3:56 pm

Your posts are up now, they got caught up in the spam filter…I think that happens when people start their comments with links. It had nothing to do with the actual content of the comment.

  15. 15 misunderstoodranter September 10, 2009 at 4:03 pm

Exactly, and I think some people like Bush and Tony Blair (now working for the bank that funds weapons manufacturers) saw a business deal as well – but they did this after the event.

Also, these banks and companies ‘invest’ in wars – they build the arms, they blow some stuff up they pay for the rebuild… it has always been so and to think the world would be any different is naive – but you don’t need a conspiracy to know this – it happens, and these people don;t cover it up they are blatant about it – if you make guns, you sell them to people that use them. If no one used them, you wouldn’t sell any more.

Gun and bomb manufacturers are in the business of manufacturing – and like all manufacturing it requires a steady turn over.

There is the issue of oil though – people say it is immoral for us to fight wars because of oil… well actually, you imagine a world without oil. And before you think of fuel, and your car – that is just the beginning, oil is used for 1000s of things… plastics, medicines etc – our whole way of life revolves around it – now scale this up to national or multi national scale, and yeah – it is actually worth fighting a war over.

The trouble with the media is it focuses on the individual story – and not on the wider picture. Governments, have huge infrastructures and millions of people to control and organise and keep happy – sometimes they have to make sure those people get what they need to ensure that society continues to be relatively stable.

  16. 16 misunderstoodranter September 10, 2009 at 4:30 pm

No actually, it was a well researched program by the BBC (we have proper TV in the UK) – you might find it on discovery somewhere…

They interviewed Yamasaki & Associates – do you know who they are… and some other people that knew the design of the buildings.

However, just like religious nutters, conspiracy theorists will discredit this information – cooking up some bullshit about how the BBC is a government department of the UK, and as such the people interviewed must have been bribed… of course that is what happened… because normal people can go through life living a lie, and being happily being bribed at every opportunity…

Perhaps – you think I am one of them also… Mawwahhhh I will go and stroke my cat and look at my world map…

Like I said keep it real – the real story is far more interesting than some cooked up bollocks on these web sites… get a hobby, or by a book on engineering, or management – and read something about a real world experience.

You should read ‘what ever body is saying’ by by Joe Navarro – it is fascinating insight into the ‘secret’ investagative powers and tools of the FBI – it is also real world, and will give you some skill you can use.

You may want to read as well that will teach you some basic science and how to spot some bullshit – his book is pretty good and contains some real conspiracies, like for example the big drug companies skewing the results of trails and how they manage to fool people… but again it is real and you will learn something from it – from a proper well educated medical doctor, with a degree from Oxford Uni… not some school kid with a PC who tossed up some ideas in between looking up teen pornography.

I agree that China and Russia are disappointing absentees but the USA and Uk are not going it alone. For a small country of just 30 million, Canada has contributed troops since the beginning (roughly 2500) and have lost over 100 men and women since the start of the campaign. Italy and Germany have similar troop numbers deployed.

Just thought we should recognize the sacrifice laid down by my fellow Canadians.

  18. 18 misunderstoodranter September 12, 2009 at 1:53 pm

I agree totally, perhaps my lack of acknowledgement, is related to the lack of coverage of such sacrifices in the media in the UK (possibly for political reasons).

More needs to be done to ensure that these lives lost are not wasted, and so we can bring a swift end to this terrible waste of resources and human life.

Please leave a comment voicing your support for this idea. It is a very small price to pay considering everything that has happened in our world based on the tragic events of that fateful September morning.

“Okham’s razor, learn to use it.”

HAHAHAHAHAAAAAA. Apply Occam’s (or Ockham’s–wtf is OKHAM’S? Should learn to spell the damn idea before spouting off about it) Razor to the OFFICIAL narrative. That’s PRECISELY the manner in which most sane people who aren’t easily duped by bullshit came to realise the official account is crap.

As for that other guy, he seems a bit emotionally invested in this and has thrown out numerous fallacious arguments, far more than I’m willing to bother with. If I wanted to indulge in puerile banality I’d have…oh damn it, I did indulge merely by coming to this DWAKINS and RANDYYYY worshipping site. The blog in which everything’s true as long as it’s stated by some scientist or politician (ever hear of the argument from authority? Dwakins knows fuck all about much of the shit he yammers on about–he should just stick to his evolutionary biology as even his OMG SCHOLARLY arguments are littered with fallacious arguments when it comes to his book, The God Delusion).

“However, just like religious nutters, conspiracy theorists will discredit this information – cooking up some bullshit about how the BBC is a government department of the UK, and as such the people interviewed must have been bribed… of course that is what happened… because normal people can go through life living a lie, and being happily being bribed at every opportunity…”

BWAHAHA. Poison the well much? Useless even discussing anything with such a myopic fucktard.

Anyway, good on you, Bland229. Excellent link leading to an excellent point, and an excellent idea.

  21. 21 EnlightningLinZ October 23, 2009 at 4:29 pm

Crap I always spell that one wrong. It’s because my maiden name ended in “kham”, so when I think of that “cam” sound that’s what I type. So what, I missed a “c”. Just because I can’t spell it doesn’t mean I don’t know what it is. In two competing explanations, the simplest is the best. With 9/11 the official account is the simplest, and it has supporting evidence.

Anyways, for someone who’s so quick to jump all over other peoples’ logical fallacies you certainly aren’t making a good case for your own position. What is your position anyways? I don’t have time to go over your posts right now but thinking back the only things I remember you doing are accusing others of being duped by the official account, and posting links to other peoples’ conspiracy theories. How about constructing an argument and defending it using reason? Pick on me all you want, but do you really think I’m going to take you seriously if that’s all you can contribute?
