Psychic Predictions for 2010 – Sylvia Browne

I always enjoy listening to the SGU‘s New Year’s podcast and their take on psychic predictions for the coming year (and for the past year), but since for some reason iTunes isn’t letting me download it (GRRRRRR!!!), and also since I’m not sure if they’ll do that this year, I decided to look for myself at one of the most famous psychics, the despicable Sylvia Browne‘s psychic predictions.

And here are her brilliant insights

Around 2009 to 2010, I predict Americans will start working on what I like to call our “buts.” There are problems that we are aware of that make the global community smaller. We have liked to say, “Our system works”..but……Children are not properly fed, clothed, educated, protected or given adequate medical care.

…Many in our population do not have a place to call home.

…Some of our youth get more attention from gangs and drug dealers than they do positive role models.

…People who are ready, willing and able to work cannot find decent jobs.

…Our elderly are not cared for properly either financially or medically.

…Some death row inmates are innocent.

…Some elected officials and large corporations do not think of the welfare of the people as a high priority – they’d rather just increase their bank accounts.

I predict we’ll develop strong resolve and resources to address these problems and come up with some good solutions.

She does go on to give some actual predictions, rather than just statements of what’s already happening and what won’t change any time soon:

I predict a great rise in skin cancer in children until 2010. There is a lot of media coverage about the UV rays and many products to protect people against them. But people are still often careless when it comes to the sun. Then again, people could pay attention – and reverse this prediction right out from under me. I would certainly be all for that!

Great technique, Sylvia, make sure to make excuses for your predictions before they fail.

I predict the President elected sometime between 2008 and 2020 will die in office from a heart attack. The Vice President who will finish their term will have an unpopular and mistaken intention to declare war on North Korea. By that time, North Korea will have weapons of mass destruction. In the middle of efforts to declare war, I predict the Vice President will be assassinated.

This is a pretty bold prediction, that both the President and the Vice President will die or be killed in office, but she gave herself a nice big window of time. It’s unlikely that anyone will call Sylvia up in 2020 and say “ha! Your 2010 prediction was soooo wrong!”…maybe I will…

I’m pretty ignorant of North Korean issues at the moment, but don’t they currently claim to have WMDs? Anyways…

There will be a worldwide investigation into the Vice President’s death with both pleasant and unpleasant surprises. A lot of attention will be paid to one of the investigative congressional committees and serious accusations will be made regarding missing funds. Finally, it will be revealed that their accusations are part of a conspiracy to damage the American people’s faith in their government, with the media manipulated to “fan the flames,” and the committee will be vindicated in the end.

Politics as usual, no?

I predict we can truly say “goodbye” to the common cold in 2009 or 2010. The solution to the common cold involves heat. Keep in mind that the body’s first response when we develop a cold is to come down with a fever. Many doctors today no longer rush to push patients to take temperature reducing medications when they come down with a fever, unless the fever is dangerous. They feel the immune system is the patient’s best medicine and should be given a chance to fight back. So as the immune system fights a cold with heat, the cure for the common cold certainly may lie in this first signal to heal.

Okay Dr. Browne…but last time I checked a fever is not one of the symptoms of a cold.

I predict that a small cubicle will become available in doctor’s offices sometime in 2009 and it will be heated to a very precise temperature. There may be a special vapor placed into the cubicle. Patients will stand in the cubicle for approximately five minutes and the rhinitis germ will be destroyed.

Medical researchers everywhere are rushing to their labs to test out Sylvia’s amazing idea! Why did none of them think of this sooner?? A warm vapour cubicle, of course!

Another wonderful bit of good news on the health front with this discovery – since this cubicle can easily take on the rhinitis germ, many people that have breathing problems with allergies and asthma complications will find some breakthroughs as well. We will see this cubicle discovery used for healing for those with breathing disorders. The cubicle will become available in 2009 or 2010.

I wonder when the magic vapour cubicle will become available at the Sylvia Browne store?

I predict hypnotic past-life regression will become available through a group of trained psychologists on both the east and west coasts of the U.S.A. in 2009. It will prove to be quite a success and will be widely practiced by 2011.

Sorry about the lolcats, but I have one more…the resemblance is uncanny:

Separated at Birth?

Interesting that you don’t believe in psychics as that would imply to me that you do not believe in psychic energy .

Numerous studies have pretty much proven the existence of psychic energy in one form or another . However one defines paranormal experience it does occur on an individual basis and most recently is in the news as a by product of ingesting certain native substances ( psychedelics ).

There is a great deal of speculation as to exactly how or why such substances seem to trigger certain types of experiences within the brain but all are related to the DNA paradigm .

Because such occurrences are not within your personal experience does not mean they are invalid experiences for others . :-)

Numerous studies have pretty much proven the existence of psychic energy? What??? Why hasn’t anyone won a Nobel Prize?

Please show me one of these studies.

I PREDICT President Obama will decide not to run for re-election
partially due to advice from Michele , his wife due to sagging polls and the growing Tea Party movement . Joe Biden will be the Democrat nominee but people will be tired of all these hairbrained social experiments , runaway tax and spend , government expansion and involvement into every aspect of our lives . People will be yearning for a return to sanity and common sense . I see the next president in 2012 as being bland , businesslike , and down to earth. Sarah Palin in perceive to be too ditzy and inexperienced .
I see the Republicans taking both houses of Congress in fall of 2010 . the age of Aquarius will not be brought in by liberal government but by grass roots liberal spirituality .
    BLESSED BE 1

Have you ever read any of sylvia brown’s books????….have you ever had any experiences with spirits??….If you had you would totally believe in sylvia brown…..I have had “experiences” since childhood….I was always left wondering if I was imagining ..but after I started reading sylvia’s books it explained all my experiences that I was unable to find answers to anywhere else…..maybe you do not believe because you have never witnessed……same as alot of people believe in no God because they have never “witnessed” his presence….doesnt mean that preachers and priests lie and say they “spoke with God”….its just that only certain peopl will ever witness things of this sort……try having an open mind

  8. 8 EnlightningLinZ May 13, 2010 at 2:29 pm

Having an open mind doesn’t mean accepting anyone’s testimony as evidence that something like spirits or gods exist. If I believe every “experience” anyone tells me about then I would have to believe in a lot of different gods, ghosts, bigfoots, UFOs, etc.

If I were to believe that Sylvia Browne is anything more than a fake psychic with mediocre cold reading skills I would have to see evidence that something like psychic powers or spirits exist, and I just don’t see that evidence.

Show me some evidence of psychic power and I would have to consider that Sylvia Brown might be legit. I have an open mind, it could be possible, but until science shows that psychic powers are real I’ll hold off believing in them.

  13. 13 open minded May 24, 2010 at 2:22 pm

People that dont have open minds, eg: EnlightningLinZ, end up living alone with their cat(s)

  14. 14 EnlightningLinZ May 25, 2010 at 2:16 pm

open-minded: what do you think it means to have an open mind?

To me having an open mind means a willingness to accept new information that’s supported by evidence.

I hate to break it to you but I’m married and allergic to cats, so I’ll never be that person you speak of. But maybe you should be more open-minded about people who live alone with their cats. If that’s the lifestyle they choose then more power to them!

What the deuce!! :o take it easy people, she just wants evidence, everybody has their own point views on psychics. I believe in psychics but just because one does not believe in psychics, it doesn’t give me the right to judge her just because of her beliefs. Be OPEN MINDED when someone questions the psychics, u.f.o’s or any other myths in this crazy world of ours.

Ahem, I just read my medicine bottle pros & cons and found that MY rhinitis is actually caused by the medication I take, not allergies to pollen (etc) or asthma…

Go for it, Sylvia. How you gonna change this?

I dont understand if you ppl dont believe is psychis then why are you on this website?

After reading some of these comments it appears a few are psycotic as opposed to psychic.

  20. 20 Lisa August 21, 2010 at 4:11 pm

In my opinion,..I just feel bad for people who refuse to believe in something that they can’t see,..or they have to be shown proof before they will even consider believing something is out there. If you believe in God,.you would surely know that he is capable of anything,..including using someone,..or a few someones,….to spread the word or at least put some ideas in peoples heads of what heaven may be like,..Oh yeah,..unless you have actually seen God he doesn’t exist! For the believers,..just be happy to believe,..for the sceptics,..everyone has their own opinion and you can never change it if that person doesn’t want it changed. I’m so glad that I believe and that I don’t live in the darkness!

I recall that sylvia Browne stated not to long ago that all cures for cancer would be discovered shortly and that all cancer would be a thing of the past. Or maybe the big shots controlling the medicine companys are holding back on all the cures for the cancer disease because of big money. If this is true I do hope each and every one of them including the CEO rought in Hell for ever. If there is a cure for thses different types of cancer put them to work now.

  22. 22 Chelsea September 28, 2010 at 10:22 pm

Funny didnt sylvia predict that UFO’s would make themselfs noticeable in 2010 and guess what? they have so now what? 5 yrs ago she had a good guess no..look just bc u all have some kind of stupid sickness and ur mad at the world cause sylvia browne didnt point out how they will find a cure for urs doesnt mean she is fake god get over ur self..its called life shit happens, like i could be complaining as to why i had to lose my mom at the age of 20 and why i have a deadly lung diease copd at the age of 22 but i dont i just deal and get over it

  23. 23 Jared November 23, 2010 at 3:15 pm

When did UFO’s make themselves noticeable in 2010? I do not remember hearing about it. I believe in God because of personal experiences, but some of the stuff Sylvia predicts and says make her sound like she is just a crazy old woman with high charisma who enjoys lying to people “for their own good”.

  24. 24 cherie December 16, 2010 at 10:39 am

she wrote that book and pretdicted these things many years ago there is credibility in some of it, not all has come to pass yet – some has. a bit more time and time will tell. uless you experience a vision or see a spirit for yourself (and i have)you couldnt possibly understand. i can see how one can be synical

  25. 25 Lauren December 22, 2010 at 12:24 pm

One of my good friends died in august like 4 months ago she was in her 60s she was a psychic she helped me with a lot of things. I would talk to her like in a regular conversation. For example I had a friend a year ago and we started talking and hanging out. I would bring this friend up to her. She never met this person and she told me to slowly back off because this person isnt who I thought they were. She told me that this person is sneaky. She just pretty much told me about this persons personality and that they are not the person I thought they were. When I first met her i gave her a hug and started talking to her. So we started talking to get to know each other. I didnt know she had these gifts. So the couple of her last 2 years she had left. She would tell me weird stuff out of nowhere it would freak me out so bad. So my point I admired her so much Iam still heartbroken. iam trying to adjust and getting used to her not being around. So what iam trying to say people make mistakes. I dont believe we should go back and forth fighting over this you know what i mean? I have my beliefs and other people have theres. Why do we have to judge? Why do we have to worry about other people and what they believe in or there lifestyles or any of that?. Well thank you for reading iam sorry if i wasted your time

Still waiting for that Vapor Cubicle.

All I have to say is my main problem with Sylvia Browne is that she has made a huge profit for herself (she seriously charges 800 dollars for a reading) by misleading people who are clouded with uncertainty and sadness. Those people yearn for answers, and she simply gives it to them with cold readings. She used the tears and worries of innocent people to gain wealth and fame.

Just because you’re a believer in psychics, doesn’t mean that Sylvia Browne is right. There are good psychics and there are bad, and she is the worst out there. If you look at Sylvia’s techniques, you’ll notice she rattles off whatever answer that comes at the top of her head. Real psychics take time to hear their higher power, and they certainly don’t charge 800 dollars for their services.

Come on people, it’s not all about having an open mind, it’s about perspective and knowledge on this subject.

  28. 28 stilllooking March 25, 2011 at 12:41 pm

Sylvia Browne predicted that doctor’s would come up with a machine that would either alleviate or cure mental illness. This was wonderful news to me since I have suffered from Manic/Depression for over 20yrs. I have waited since 2008 and nothing has been discovered that I know of.
I was also looking forward to the alien prediction of 2010, which obviously didn’t happen. I have 22 of her books, and yes some of them were helpful. But nothing I would call life-changing.
I also have to say I’am discusted by the fact that she now has her online store of blessed crystal’s and divine objects. She also charges $800 to $1000 dollars for a reading. Why the hell so much? Oh yeah, to support her gnostic foundation.
Over the years I have now come to the conclusion that she is a con-artist gypsy. Anyone that follows and believes in her teachings is nothing but a blasphemous simpleton.

I believe that people have a right to believe what they choose to believe.

Psychics are not for everyone, but for the people who drawn to using their help and guidance, they should also have the freedom to do so.

I believe that when it comes to medical advice etc, one should always use common sense along with the guidance of a trained professional!

Evwer since you “saw” hell being in t6he center of the earth, which vision you wrote about in one of your earlier books, I lost confidence! Hell is not nor ever will be in the center of the earth!!!!!!!!

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sylvia_Browne

Trust me she is a fraud. She even stated herself “People are gullible, why no take advantage of that?”

(This is coming from someone who used to think she was amazing….now I pity the fact that I was ever so gullible.)

  33. 34 PoeticOne December 2, 2011 at 12:00 pm

Not saying though that i do not believe in a higher being or energy r whatever i is. I am just saying that she is a phony and she has taken advantage of this field of work. There are bad eggs among everything you find in society. She is one of those.

  34. 35 PoeticOne December 2, 2011 at 12:03 pm

Also there is more evidence of here lies then of those predictions that actually came true. I actually haven’t found any evidence YET of any predictions that have been right.
